All Maccsteam boilers and gas tanks conform to the European Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) SI/1999/2002. They are of all copper construction with bronze or gunmetal bushes bushes. They are entirely silver soldered using easyflo No2.

Boilers and tanks are hydraulically tested, using a certifed pressure gauge, to twice maximum working pressure in the case of boilers and to 350psi in the case of gas tanks. They are then stamped with a unique serial number. A signed and dated certificate will be supplied with every tank and boiler showing the month of manufacture, the test date and pressure and maximum working pressure. Please note that these are not insurance certificates.

All boilers and tanks are guaranteed against manufacturing defects for a period of 12 months

Most of my customers prefer to lag and clead their boilers using wood strips or thin brass sheet. Because of this and to enable me to keep the prices of my boilers and tanks as low as possible, I do not paint them. This also allows you to confirm the quality of the silver soldering - no poorly made joints concealed under layers of paint. If you would like your boiler or tank painting I can do this for you but the price will be cosiderably more.

Please remember that model boilers are not toys. They should only be operated by children under adult supervision. All parts of your boiler will become extremely hot during use and burning and/or scalding may occur if they are touched with naked hands.
